About us
Preseli Animal Homecare (est. 2007) are professional UK-wide pet, small holder and farm sitting specialists, looking after all your creatures great and small, from tropical fish to shire horses, providing you with total peace of mind while you’re away from home.
Your pet sitter will stay in your home and care for all your animals in the comfort of their own environment. They will follow your instructions to the letter, administering medicines, if necessary at the appropriate times. In addition, the sitters will give your home that added security by being present at your property for the duration of their stay and will also undertake any daily/weekly duties such as watering plants, take the bins out, etc.
Costs
Depending on your requirements, our prices start at £50/day plus a one-off mileage charge (no hidden extras) so if you’d like to be sent a free quote please contact us with your details.
Our Team
Preseli Animal Homecare, run by husband and wife team, Julia & Martin Hughes are based in Pembrokeshire and have a team of sitters available, capable of covering the whole of the UK.
Martin comes from a large farming and equine background and has obtained his agricultural craftsman certification class 1 in beef and milk production and animal husbandry qualifications before going on to do a degree course in all aspects of agriculture. He also has many years of hands-on experience with all types of animals over the years including spending a couple of months at a veterinary practice in Gloucestershire and Shropshire. It has always been his ambition to be a veterinary surgeon but who knows, it’s never too late…
Julia is from an accountancy background but since meeting Martin in 2007, he encouraged her to take her degree in Animal Science while setting up this business. Their love of all things feathered and furry made them increase their numbers several fold and now keep pigs, poultry, sheep, dogs, cats, terrapins and a gecko. So between them, they are able to share their combined knowledge and experience to advise their sitters on all matters regarding animal care.
